Research and development of new electric car the German postal service for mail and parcel delivery

Germany and Germany Aachen University and StreetScooter company after a year of cooperative R & D, recently manufactured for mail and parcel delivery of novel electric vehicle.
First street car prototype in line with the German postal equipment, loading capacity and safety standards required of all. In order to test the electric vehicle operation efficiency and the influence to the environment, in the coming years of use, 50 test vehicles will be put on the German postal different delivery point. The first electric car will be in 2013 July was put to use. If the test is successful, this series of electric vehicles will be used.
The electric vehicle designed to be completed 200 times to stop and start, one year time available for up to 300 days. 4.6 meter long body to ensure that the mail and parcels space, its solid structure, conforms with all the safety standards. The model according to the German postal characteristics design, speed of up to 85 kilometers per hour, mainly for rural delivery. The vehicle is also fitted with a powered by lithium-ion batteries 30 kW induction motor, its maximum cruising range of 120 km.
