India's domestic highway sold TNT express business

TNT express recently announced that it will implement a major strategic shift, sell the loss of the India's domestic highway express business, will focus on the future development of international express business.

Five years ago, TNT investment India, the acquisition of the highway freight company Speedage. But the business already from December 30, 2011 up to stop running.

TNT India highway transportation business will by India Equity Partners (IEP), a logistics subsidiary took over. IEP is a us investment company, the investment to India many enterprise, in several industrial enterprise and consumer goods companies have holdings. The purchase, the financial details has not been disclosed. IEP "logistics platform" chief executive Abhik Mitra previously served as TNT (India) manager position.

TNT says, the company will be IEP and joint efforts, to ensure smooth work handover. Responsible for domestic highway transportation, executives and most of the employees 1000 people will turn to new employer. Transition period, the ground facilities, computer and its system, business process will be provided by the TNT.
