Lithuania post new large-scale logistics center in Kaunas

Recently, Lithuania post company to design the logistics chain, began building large logistics center in Kaunas.
The logistics center is completed, the mail and parcel handling capacity is now 10 times, loading and unloading port number will be 10 times the current number of, the number of domestic cargo handling export will be 15 times as high as in the past.
Lithuania postal express, logistics center will handle from the post office and express goods. Shipment processing capacity from the current 450 per hour up to 7000 parts per hour.
Lithuania postal chief executive Lina Minderien said, logistics center is located in Lithuania's second largest city of Kaunas, the geographical position is superior. The transit of goods from Vilnius moved to Kaunas, completely changed the company's logistics chain. The change in geography, will greatly reduce the transport distance.
Lithuania postal equipment investment in the logistics center will reach 600000 litas. The spring of 2015, mail sorting center will be officially moved from Vilnius to Kaunas.
