Singapore Post Alibaba group received a $249000000 investment

In May 28th, Alibaba group and Singapore postal announce, both sides reached agreements on investment. Alibaba group will invest $313000000 (about $249000000), for the Singapore Post 190096000 shares and 30000000 shares of stock repurchases. The investment is completed, Alibaba group will acquire 10.35% stake in Singapore post.
With Singapore Post for more than 150 years history of Southeast Asia's leading communications and business logistics provider, in 2003 listed on the main board of the Singapore exchange. At present, the electronic commerce Singapore Post and related business accounted for 26% of total revenues.
According to the two sides signed the memorandum of strategic cooperation, Alibaba and Singapore Post will establish "international business logistics platform for service providers," garrison, equivalent to cultivate an international version of the "rookie network". Cooperation will absorb singpost international postal, logistics, infrastructure and distribution network, to provide logistics for Alibaba group customer and merchant solutions.
This strategic cooperation memorandum also included, after a few months, the two sides will discuss the venture investment, international e-commerce logistics industry.
This is seen as Alibaba submitted this month after the application for listing in the United States, the new layout in electric business internationalization.
