The UPU will host the e-business forum next year

In November 8th the end of the UPU Administrative Council and the Business Council annual meeting, the national postal representatives agreed that, in the face of business letters declining trend, electronic commerce especially rapid development of cross-border e-commerce has become the postal industry important "dig gold". The national postal should seize the opportunities, to promote the development of postal itself.
The UPU will host the e-business forum to "cross-border e-commerce market demand" as the theme in Switzerland in 2014 April, in order to explore the development of cross-border e-commerce.
How the forum will post transformation under the new situation, to communicate the effects of Electronic Commerce on postal and facing the challenges and opportunities of the development of electronic commerce. The UPU will strive to help members to overcome the obstacles in the process of development of electronic commerce, dredging the flow between the retailers and the postal sector, maintaining the link seamlessly.
The forum will last two days, the first day will focus on the overall situation of e-commerce market in the world are introduced, the UPU invited representatives of relevant international organizations, retailers and users association of common participants explore communication. The European multi channels and online commerce association, European Union representative, e-Bay, Amazon, Alibaba famous electric representatives will be invited as keynote speaker at the meeting. In addition, regional organizations such as the Asian Pacific Postal Union (APPU), Pan African Postal Union (PAPU), the European Union (PUASP), Spanish Portuguese Postal Union (APPC) will also be gathered, introduction to e-commerce development situation of the local postal district.
The second day of the forum will focus on how to take measures within the framework of the UPU, help countries develop e-commerce. UPU agencies will be combined with practical operation of e-commerce enterprises, introduces how to Member States to provide help, including customs clearance, tax payment, security, tracking, query, global delivery, returns and other links. In addition, the forum will also be introduced USA, Australia, Singapore and other countries in the development of e-commerce business practices and experience.
