FedEx last Boeing 727 freighters retired

A few days ago, FedEx last Boeing 727 cargo aircraft flying missions completed. The machine has been used in the United States domestic transport company for 35 consecutive years. Flew to Memphis International Airport, Federal Express as the specially held a farewell ceremony.
As part of the company modernization strategy, FedEx Express, will use more modern and efficient wide body aircraft, in order to save operating costs and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
FedEx says, Boeing 727 cargo plane for the company in the domestic growth has made tremendous contributions. Today, the company will continue to focus on the global fleet modernization, the introduction of more advanced technology, more energy saving and jet aircraft low emission.
Federal Express initially used Falcon aircraft, and then in 1978 enabled the first 727 freighters. The last 727 freighters purchased in 1984. FedEx started decommissioning its 727 cargo plane from 2007, the Boeing 757.
Federal Express will be in the autumn of 2013 in a more reliable and energy saving Boeing 767 replace MD-10 freighter.
